PROMOTING MYSELF TO EMPLOYERS: Target Market Game Developers

As a research for the project ive looked into my target market. As ive advertised my self a s a game developer therefore i am looking for the employers of some gaming company.

The first job i looked into was from RIOT platform. As they have been in to gaming industry for quite a long time. Although, they werent planning to make any more new games in which i could have participated , but keeping in mind that games which are already being played by millions of users on daily basis require a lot of updates, bug removals and stuff like that. Looking into the job criteria set by them i realised that most of the criteria perfectly matches my skills.Their was a long job description including some of the rules and restrictions an individual have to follow while creating and updating any department of game. I won't discuss the whole description over here but i would like to share the criteria list due to which i decided to look into this one.

1) Creativity

Though i've never been into designing and all but playing games for a long time has improved my creativity regarding map structures, gun skins and NPC creation and stuff like that. I've a lot of brilliant ideas in mind specifically for games to implement.

2) Tech and Bugs solving

Although before publishing any sort of game related product in the game officially its always make sure by well experienced teams that there are no bugs and issues but still when the players start playing thats when you realize where there is pixel of an issue which can create a whole lot of mess. Solving them and detecting them with whole team is a ting i've been doing for couple of years on you tube already so will not be that big of a problem for me.

3) Team Work

Team work in any field is highly required ability as every media related field is handling issues as a team, never as an individual. Working as a reliable team member is also a great strength of mine as that is what is required while doing gaming professionall.

4) Real-Life Gaming Experience

Real life gamong experience is also very essential for an individual to become a good developer as you can relate with the players and realize whats wrong and make it right before anyone noticing it.I've been playing for a professional team for 3 years almost so this wasn't a huge deal for me.

From looking at this and keeping my skills in mind i might be tempted to go for this one, But before doing that i might search some other options as well.

Overall this was a interesting exercise and it did make me consider my skills, employability and what transferable skills I have in the gaming industry.
